Virgina or Portland....

Virgina or Portland........

Kimball has been so successful in this whole dental school application process.
I am SO proud of him.
I hate to brag but it's allowed when it's about my bf.
He was accepted to Philadelphia, VCU, UNLV, OHSU
and waitlisted at San Francisco.
Pretty good, huh?

But all that glory and excitement made for a very difficult decision.
We narrowed it down to our top two:
Virgina or Portland.
And then we made a list.

Richmond, Virginia Vs. Portland, Oregon

After much deliberation, pondering, praying and thought
The verdict is:

We couldn't be more excited!!! :)

Photographer... Check!

We did it, we finally picked our photographer and he is fantastic. He is sooo talented and I couldn't be more pleased with our decision. Our bridals are scheduled for April 7th right now but I am trying to get that pushed back so we have a little more time to be ready (get hair done, finish altering dress, buy ball's ring, a little more running) Ya know... all that wedding stuff.
Here he is, Mr. Photographer:

And I just tried really hard to steal some of his work but guess what, I can't. He's that good. Go Dustin.

A Bouquet Made Out of.... GOLD :)

Just kidding. Not gold. But that'd be really nice. No, let me introduce to you my bouquet... It is definitely still in the works right now but I am pretty sure it is going to be brilliant. :)
I came across this picture on etsy when looking for bridesmaids supplies:

Isn't it awesome!? It didn't take long to convince me that this was my latest project. I got on Etsy and looked for any sellers that were selling flower brooches and then messaged them to see 1) if they had lots more and 2) if they were willing to give me any discount. This is what I came up with:

And these: And this fantastic creation was made by someone on my mom's side:

YES, it is a Christmas tree made out of family brooches and it broke my heart to tear this thing apart! But bless their heart, whoever it was that made this. I promise they will be better appreciated where they are going now...

And here is the grand pile of brooches that I have been collecting for months now. SOO much fun. All I can say is thank goodness for the DI. I made a good friend named Sam at the layton DI, he runs the 'collectibles' section and has been so good to give me great deals and keep his eye out for me.

So after I collected all of the pieces I wanted to use I went out and bought green wire at Hobby Lobby and got to work. Here is a terrible picture from my phone of what it looks like right now, about half way finished and I am loving it!

The One Dress I Probably WONT Want to Take Off on the Wedding Night:

Simply stated. I fell in LOOOOVE all over again, if I could I get married to this dress and not just Kimball on May 21st. Ha. Joke. Bad one too. But here it is, we found it at The Perfect Dress and it was on sale for $750.00 yet I can't find a thing wrong with it. Awesome. :)
Here it is on the ultimate bride:

And here are a couple pics of me trying it on... that's weird, these pics look slightly different than the ones from above :) ha. Good work model chick. But anways, I love it:

Bridesmaids Necklaces

Okay, I don't know why but I am obsessed with trying to make the perfect bridesmaids necklaces... at first I wanted birdcage necklaces to go along with the birdcage decorations, something that looked like these pictures on my rights, super cute right?

But seeing as how I have 13 bridesmaids, possibly 15 if I include sisters that I see every 5 years, than I would be paying about $250.00 in birdcage necklaces. SO I am opting to make my necklaces and upon looking for cute little birdcage pendants I came across these little flowers:

In hopes that I can make them look like these someday:

They are going to be adorable I promise I just have a lot of collecting and work to do. This wedding business is seriously so much fun! I love all the little details, I knew that my inspiration from watching Jennifer Lopez in wedding planner was more than just a desire to have a huge butt and fall in love with someone else's groom. I'm dang good at this, or at least my ideas are good, and when I make them into actual stuff, then I can say I'm good. :) And the best part about it is, the flowers will cost me about 40 bucks for 16-20 and that'll be a perfect start to some fantastic bridesmaids necklaces. I am looking to spend around $100 flat. The challenge is on.
